Renault and Geely Pour $368 Million Into Brazilian EV Production

A fresh injection of 319 million euros will reshape Renault’s manufacturing footprint in Brazil, signaling a deep industrial alignment between the French automaker and China’s Geely. The capital commitment centers on localizing electrified vehicle production and flex-fuel hybrid technology, marking a significant expansion of their 2025 South American partnership.

Renault and Geely Pour $368 Million Into Brazilian EV Production

The investment targets a 2027 rollout for a new electrified Renault model, alongside the implementation of the Renault Hybrid E-Tech 4x4 flex-fuel system. This move strengthens the collaborative venture established last year when Geely secured a 26.4% stake in Renault do Brasil. By anchoring these technologies within Brazilian facilities, the companies aim to balance global hybridization standards with the region’s specific demand for flexible fuel solutions.
