The new suite, resulting from the company’s 2025 merger with QSR Automations, allows kitchen staff to handle prep instructions, waste logging, and operational tasks without switching between devices. By surfacing AI-driven prep recommendations directly on the KDS, the system helps kitchen teams avoid over-prepping while ensuring waste entries automatically update inventory records. Brian Herr, SVP of Product, noted that this shift addresses the operational friction typical in environments where teams must manage fragmented software systems throughout a shift.
Beyond task execution, the platform consolidates service and reservation data with existing inventory and labor metrics. This unified intelligence layer provides operators with a comprehensive view of performance, including ticket times and cook-time variance. CEO John Raguin stated that this single source of truth enables managers to identify previously hidden bottlenecks and make proactive decisions to drive profitability. Crunchtime currently supports over 850 brands across 150,000 locations, including major chains like Jersey Mike’s and Wingstop.
