Matt Prine, American Water’s Chief Customer Officer, emphasized that the decision was driven by the need for a modular architecture capable of onboarding new customer populations while maintaining service consistency. Takisha Walker, the utility’s Senior Director of Customer Operations, framed the upgrade as a strategic investment to align digital accessibility with the company's core mission of providing reliable service. VertexOne COO Keith Ahonen noted that the collaboration is designed to support the utility’s growth trajectory, positioning the platform to handle the complexities of a large-scale, industry-leading operation.
