Insmed Mobilizes 1,350 Employees for Global Day of Good

More than 1,350 employees across the United States, Europe, and Japan stepped away from their desks today to participate in Insmed’s fifth annual Global Day of Good. The initiative spans 50 distinct volunteer projects, marking the biopharmaceutical company’s largest coordinated service effort since the program launched in 2022.

This year’s event sees staff tackling a diverse range of charitable tasks, from assembling STEM kits for students and supporting local food banks to participating in beach cleanups and refurbishing bicycles for those in need. These efforts contribute to a five-year total of approximately 15,000 volunteer hours logged by the company’s workforce. Nicole Schaeffer, Chief People Strategy Officer, noted that the program has grown significantly from its inaugural year, which involved 500 participants, reflecting a deepening commitment to the communities where the company operates.

The service day serves as a centerpiece for Insmed’s broader corporate social responsibility strategy, which includes year-round matching gift programs and dedicated paid time off for volunteering. For Dan Barnett, Executive Director of Students 2 Science, the collaboration highlights the tangible benefits of corporate involvement in local education. Beyond this single-day push, the company maintains ongoing support for various nonprofits, detailed in its 2025 Responsibility Report.
