A 5.8% drop in premarket trading greeted Beta Bionics on Wednesday, as the medical device maker priced its public offering at $17.25 per share. The move follows a difficult year for the company, which has seen its stock value decline by 37% since the start of 2024.

Beta Bionics Shares Slip as $150 Million Public Offering Priced

The offering comprises approximately 7.7 million shares of common stock, alongside pre-funded warrants for select investors. This capital raise aims to generate $150 million in gross proceeds, exceeding the $125 million figure initially proposed by the firm. Beta Bionics intends to allocate these funds toward general corporate operations, specifically targeting the commercialization efforts for its Mint tubeless insulin patch pump.

Underwriters have been granted a 30-day option to acquire an additional 1.3 million shares at the established offering price. The transaction is slated to close on September 17.
