The rebranding unifies the company’s existing cloud infrastructure with its suite of agentic AI capabilities, which are designed to handle high-volume document review and complex reasoning tasks. CEO Phil Saunders stated that the change reflects a transition where AI serves as the foundational element of the platform, comparable to the industry's historic shift from paper to digital evidence.
Data from the company indicates that demand for agent-driven tasks—those requiring the system to read and reason across records rather than simply performing keyword searches—has grown by 44 percent month over month. These tools are currently being applied to tasks ranging from multimillion-dollar litigation to Freedom of Information Act requests. Notably, internal investigations that previously required months of human labor are now being resolved by single reviewers in under an hour, with precision rates reaching 99.8 percent.
To integrate these capabilities directly into daily workflows, the company is expanding its reach beyond the core platform. Through the acquisition of Gavel, Relativity is embedding its intelligence into Microsoft Word, allowing lawyers to access data insights while drafting documents. Furthermore, the company is broadening its user base; 57 percent of new workspaces created this year are being utilized for matters outside of traditional litigation, such as data breach responses and regulatory inquiries. The platform’s AI features remain included in current pricing structures, a strategy intended to ensure that advanced agentic tools are accessible without additional per-item costs.
