Thinkware Dashcam Owners Eligible for $850,000 Class Action Settlement

Customers who purchased specific Thinkware dashcam models between January 2019 and August 2024 may qualify for compensation following a class action lawsuit. The litigation centers on allegations that the company misled users by advertising a "Super Night Vision" feature that functioned only when the devices were in parking mode.

The settlement resolves claims in Jessica Ratzak, et al. v. Thinkware Systems USA, Inc., filed in the Superior Court of California. While Thinkware denies any wrongdoing or legal violations, the company agreed to an $850,000 settlement fund to avoid the costs of prolonged litigation. This fund will cover payments to class members, attorney fees, and administrative expenses.

Affected dashcam models include the X700, F200PRO, DC-M2-FG-IR, DC-M2-FG, and F70PRO. To receive a pro rata share of the settlement, owners must submit a valid claim form online at www.TWCameraSettlement.com or via mail by December 14, 2026. Those who do not take action by this deadline will forfeit their right to payment and remain bound by the settlement terms, losing the ability to sue the company independently over these specific claims. Owners who prefer to retain their right to sue must submit an opt-out form by November 30, 2026. The court has scheduled a final fairness hearing for January 12, 2027, to determine if the agreement is fair and adequate.
