Ms. Alexander, a marketing instructor at Southern University and A&M College, structures her curriculum to replicate the environment of professional marketing agencies. By incorporating live case studies and analytics-heavy projects, she prepares students to transition directly into competitive business roles. Her pedagogical approach is informed by her own professional background at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana and The Walt Disney Studios, where she specialized in content strategy and data analysis using tools like Tableau and SPSS.
Currently pursuing a PhD at the University of South Alabama, Alexander balances her teaching responsibilities with faculty advisory roles for the Women Business Alliance and Minorities in Sports. Her recent scholarly contributions have earned recognition at the Gulf South Business Research Conference and the Marketing Management Association. Looking forward, she intends to leverage her doctoral research to expand her reach as a consultant, focusing on the empowerment of young women entering the marketing profession.
