Associated Banc-Corp Raises Prime Rate to 7 Percent

Green Bay-based Associated Banc-Corp is lifting its prime lending rate to 7.00 percent, up from the previous 6.75 percent. The adjustment, announced Monday, takes effect across the bank's regional network on September 17, 2026, marking a shift in borrowing costs for the Midwest institution's diverse client base.

The increase impacts the bank's lending structure across its footprint, which spans over 200 locations throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, and Nebraska. As the largest bank holding company headquartered in Wisconsin, Associated Banc-Corp maintains approximately $52 billion in total assets. Beyond its primary branches, the company manages loan production offices in states ranging from Michigan to Texas. The bank operates as an Equal Housing Lender and maintains membership with the FDIC.
