Century Bank, founded in 1887, currently operates eight branches in New Mexico and two loan production offices in Texas, holding $1.36 billion in assets as of June 30, 2026.

Thomas L. Travis, CEO of Bank7, characterized the acquisition as a disciplined deployment of excess capital that offers better long-term returns than organic growth or share buybacks. The deal structure involves a mix of $70 million in cash and over 1.2 million shares of Bank7 common stock. The transaction is pending regulatory and shareholder approval, with a target closing date in the fourth quarter of 2026. While the merger agreement is the preferred path, Bank7 remains committed to a previously announced court-supervised auction process for a controlling interest in Century should the primary agreement face unforeseen obstacles.
