LaserAway Hits 231 Locations Marking Two Decades of Expansion

Two decades after launching a single clinic on Sunset Boulevard, LaserAway has reached a milestone with the opening of its 231st facility in Visalia, California. The company, which operates across 36 states without a single closure, continues to push its model of accessible, non-invasive aesthetic dermatology to a national scale.

Founded in 2006 by Dr. Roy Winston and brothers Scott, Brock, and Todd Heckmann, the Los Angeles-based firm has eschewed franchising in favor of a private ownership model. This approach allowed the company to scale from its West Hollywood roots to a network currently employing over 700 nurses and supported by a board of 25 dermatologists led by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Will Kirby.

The new Visalia site offers the brand's standard menu of services, including laser hair removal, Botox, dermal fillers, and body contouring treatments like CoolSculpting. According to CEO Scott Heckmann, the growth strategy remains rooted in the original goal of democratizing medical aesthetics, blending clinical precision with a retail-style experience that prioritizes patient accessibility.
