The brands are integrating period care into the broader college transition process, which is often cluttered with academic schedules and housing logistics. According to KaNeeTa Kimble, Vice President of North America Always, the initiative aims to ensure the next generation does not navigate the same lack of preparation that hampered their predecessors. Data indicates that 61% of women believe more open dialogue would have significantly eased their early college years.
To address this, Always and Tampax are executing a seven-stop campus tour, visiting institutions including Ohio State University, UCLA, and Spelman College. The program combines peer-to-peer advice with product distribution; this year, the effort reached 52,000 students and provided nearly 800,000 period-care products. By moving beyond traditional marketing into educational outreach and social media engagement, the brands intend to make period management a standard, visible component of student life rather than an overlooked necessity.
