The platform, which supports 1099 contractors, international freelancers, and contingent W-2 employees, launched the beta integration to reduce the friction of manual data reconciliation. Currently, teams often rely on fragmented exports to track who is ready for payment or which onboarding requirements remain unfulfilled. By connecting the underlying worker records—covering compliance, billing, and payment history—to external AI assistants, Wingspan aims to automate the administrative overhead that precedes actual payment execution.

Users can prompt their AI assistants to identify bottlenecks in the onboarding process, generate draft payables, or summarize upcoming payroll runs. While the AI handles the data retrieval and preparation, the system retains final approval and payment execution within the Wingspan interface. This rollout targets the company’s core user base, which currently manages over $8 billion in annualized transaction volume across more than 300,000 workers.
