The appointment marks a significant expansion for the Wellington College Education network, which oversees 12 premium schools across the UK, Asia, and the United States. Situated within the 5,000-acre Tatu City development, the co-educational facility will serve students aged 3 to 18. The school aims to integrate British educational standards with a regional focus, offering both day and boarding programs to attract local and international families.
James Dahl, the 15th Master of Wellington College, cited Parker-Jones's successful track record at Rugby School as a key factor in the selection. For Rendeavour, the city builder behind Tatu City, the move represents a strategic effort to cement the site as a hub for long-term investment. CEO Stephen Jennings emphasized that the inclusion of an elite institution is essential for the city’s growth, aiming to provide a local alternative for families who would otherwise seek schooling abroad.
