Moon Valley Nurseries Expands Retail Footprint and Adds Tree Care

Moon Valley Nurseries has crossed the threshold of 50 retail locations across seven states, marking a period of rapid growth that included eight new nurseries in just two years. To complement this physical expansion, the company is launching a dedicated Tree Care division to provide end-to-end maintenance for residential landscapes.

Since its founding in Phoenix in 1995, the company has grown into a vertically integrated operation managing over 1,800 acres of farmland. The new service arm leverages this background, employing certified arborists to handle trimming, fertilization, and pest management. CEO Brian Flood noted that the decision stems from long-standing client requests for professional maintenance on trees regardless of their original installation source.

The service rollout covers major metropolitan markets in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Texas, offering specialized programs ranging from routine pruning to emergency weather response. By controlling the entire lifecycle—from growing and planting to long-term health monitoring—the firm aims to distinguish its maintenance model from traditional landscaping providers. Recent site openings in cities such as Moorpark, California, and Hendersonville, Tennessee, underscore the company’s push to solidify its presence as a comprehensive provider of tree health and landscape management.
