The venture combines the advanced imaging and detection capabilities of Analogic with the technical scale and security expertise of Leidos. While the new entity will function independently, Leidos maintains a significant minority ownership stake in the company, ensuring a continued foothold in the national security market. CEO Tom Bell indicated that the deal aligns with the company’s NorthStar 2030 strategy, allowing Leidos to sharpen its internal focus on core growth engines while offloading specialized screening manufacturing to the new venture.
Beyond the formation of this entity, Leidos plans to persist in its broader aviation operations, including the modernization of air traffic systems and airport digital infrastructure. Analogic, headquartered in Salem, New Hampshire, brings a deep portfolio of AI-driven imaging and automation to the collaboration, which will now be deployed through the joint venture's expanded manufacturing reach.
