The addition of Reenan and Bushner follows a series of recent hires, including Mary Lavelle, Karen Chao, Zahra Sowder, and Andrea Hwang. According to the firm, this expansion cements its position as having more Chambers-recognized lawyers for Private Equity Buyouts in New York than any competitor. The pair brings extensive experience in complex deal structures, including take-private transactions, carve-outs, and strategic joint ventures.

Presiding Partner Peter Furci noted that the duo's established relationships within the sponsor community will be instrumental in managing increasingly sophisticated client work. Kevin Rinker, Co-Chair of the M&A Group, highlighted the benefit of a decade-long partnership between the two new arrivals, emphasizing their combined judgment in handling large-scale M&A. Reenan and Bushner previously led the private capital practice at another international firm, and their transition to Debevoise is expected to integrate seamlessly into the firm's five-decade-long history in the private equity market.
