The funding round includes participation from Causeway Media Partners and Ares Sports, Media and Entertainment funds, alongside returning backers like the PGA Tour and Powerhouse Capital. Pro Shop intends to deploy these resources toward original talent-led franchises, premium live event formats, and the development of social-first programming. The company also plans to pursue strategic acquisitions to further integrate its commerce and media operations.
Since its founding in 2023, Pro Shop has capitalized on a shift in how younger audiences consume golf content. The platform now reaches over 35 million unique users through a portfolio that includes production credits on Netflix’s Full Swing and the upcoming Happy Gilmore 2. Troy Rice, CEO of PGA TOUR Superstore, will join the board of directors as part of the investment, signaling a deeper alignment between the platform and traditional golf retail and entertainment ecosystems.
