The investment strengthens long-standing ties between the family-owned food company and the local community. The bulk of the funding, $1.25 million, is earmarked for Say Yes Buffalo to support college readiness and career navigation over the next five years. Buffalo Prep will receive $750,000 to sustain its academic programming and the Illuminate the Future Fund, while the BISON Children's Scholarship Fund will receive $50,000 to assist low-income families with K-12 tuition costs.
Ted Rich, chief growth officer at Rich Products, stated that the initiative aims to cultivate the next generation of regional leaders. The partnerships extend beyond financial contributions, incorporating mentorship and apprenticeship programs designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and professional experience. By focusing on these three pillars, the foundation hopes to address the increasing demand for resources in a challenging economic landscape, ensuring students remain on track toward graduation and sustainable careers.
