Lutz arrives at a pivotal juncture for HavenLock, shifting from initial launch phases toward a broad, national distribution strategy. Reporting to Chief Commercial Officer John Heller, he will oversee channel development and partner engagement. The company intends to leverage his background to refine the programs necessary to support dealers and systems integrators who install their hardware.
His career history spans 34 years, beginning in 1992 at a national security firm in Houston. After a decade managing his own security company in Nashville, Lutz spent 24 years at Resideo—formerly Ademco/Honeywell—where he held roles in National Accounts and Industry Affairs. Beyond his corporate tenure, Lutz has served on the boards of the Electronic Security Association and the Security Industry Alarm Coalition. He currently chairs the nonprofit Mission 500.
Founder Alex Bertelli noted that Lutz's deep-rooted relationships within the industry are central to HavenLock’s scaling efforts. For the company, this hire serves as a blueprint for the organizational growth they plan to unveil in upcoming weeks.
