PIP Global Safety and W. L. Gore Partner on Multi-Hazard Workwear

Latham-based PIP Global Safety and W. L. Gore & Associates have launched a strategic collaboration to engineer advanced protective gear. The partnership integrates GORE-TEX material science with PIP’s industrial safety portfolio, aiming to replace cumbersome, multi-layered protective suits with single, high-performance garments designed for thermal, electrical, and chemical hazards.

The collaboration debuted at the National Safety Council Safety Congress & Expo with the introduction of the PIP Multi-Hazard Workwear Collection. This platform addresses a persistent industrial pain point: the necessity for workers to wear specialized, bulky layers for different site dangers. By consolidating protection into a single system, the companies intend to improve mobility and wearer comfort while simplifying PPE selection processes for employers.

Eric Bernstein, President of PIP Global Safety, noted that the integration of GORE-TEX PYRAD technology allows the firm to elevate standards for both durability and daily wearability. Jeff Jung, sales leader for the GORE-TEX safety business, emphasized that the partnership scales the reach of their lightweight, breathable fabric innovations. Both organizations have committed to a sustained pipeline of new product development, leveraging their combined expertise in worker hazard analysis and materials science to address evolving safety requirements in global industrial sectors.
