Simply Good Foods Faces Class Action Lawsuit Over OWYN Acquisition

Investors who incurred losses from Simply Good Foods Company stock between October 24, 2024, and April 8, 2026, have until October 13 to seek lead plaintiff status. A class action lawsuit filed by Glancy Prongay Wolke & Rotter LLP alleges the firm misled shareholders regarding the integration of its OWYN brand.

The complaint centers on claims that the company concealed critical operational failures following its acquisition of OWYN. According to the filing, Simply Good Foods lost essential managerial staff, leading to inflated administrative costs. Simultaneously, the transition to a new pea protein supplier reportedly triggered product quality issues that harmed brand reputation.

To manage declining margins, the company allegedly reduced marketing and brand support, which further suppressed sales. The lawsuit argues that these undisclosed hurdles rendered the OWYN acquisition a strategic failure, contradicting the positive outlooks provided by management during the class period.
