Fortuna Mining Maintains Yearly Outlook Despite Quarterly Output Dip

Operational friction at the flagship Seguela mine in Cote d'Ivoire slowed production for Fortuna Mining during the third quarter, pulling total output to 69,665 gold equivalent ounces. Despite the shortfall compared to the 72,462 ounces produced during the same period last year, the company insists its annual targets remain within reach.

Fortuna Mining Maintains Yearly Outlook Despite Quarterly Output Dip

The dip in performance stemmed from a two-fold challenge at the West African site: a localized shortage of essential mining equipment and a site blockage initiated by artisanal miners. These disruptions curtailed total mining volumes and hindered the extraction team's ability to reach higher-grade ore deposits during the quarter.

Despite the immediate setback, management reaffirmed its full-year production guidance of 281,000 to 305,000 gold equivalent ounces. Fortuna Mining continues to manage its portfolio across West Africa and Latin America, leaning on its remaining assets to offset the temporary cooling in Cote d'Ivoire.
