The LX-60T100R utilizes R290 refrigerant, a transition that slashes the Global Warming Potential of the cooling system from over 1,400 to approximately three. Designed specifically for clinical trial environments, the device addresses the cooling limitations of legacy laboratory equipment while streamlining workflows. Features include a seven-inch touchscreen responsive to gloved handling, RFID rotor recognition, and rapid pre-cooling capabilities that reach 4 °C from room temperature in five minutes.
Beyond its environmental profile, the centrifuge is engineered for versatility in shared laboratory settings. It operates at noise levels as low as 52 dB(A) and utilizes an ultra-low center of gravity to minimize vibrations, eliminating the need for specialized floor mounting. Christophe Berthoux, CEO of Resonant Clinical Solutions, noted that the instrument aims to provide a more flexible and sustainable option for complex clinical programs. The units are available for purchase or rental through Resonant, with the 220–240 V model currently on the market and a 110 V version scheduled for release in early 2027.
