Solar-Powered Signage Concept Aims to Bridge Retail and Highways

A Pasco-based inventor has proposed a solar-powered road sign system designed to display real-time pricing and promotional offers for local businesses. Dubbed the Point of Exit Price Display, the concept seeks to integrate commercial advertising directly into highway infrastructure to benefit travelers, retailers, and state revenue streams.

The proposed system functions as an adaptable signage platform, allowing state authorities or private operators to update information regarding nearby motels, restaurants, and shopping centers. By utilizing a solar-powered lighting display, the unit ensures high visibility for passing motorists while maintaining energy efficiency. The developer suggests that this digital integration provides a more accurate and eye-catching alternative to traditional static billboards, effectively funneling traffic toward local establishments.

InventHelp, which is managing the commercialization of the design, has made the concept available for licensing or acquisition by interested manufacturers and marketers. The firm is currently promoting the invention under reference number 25-MHO-668, targeting parties interested in highway infrastructure technology and regional economic development.
