The collaborative initiative, spearheaded by the T.D. Jakes Foundation, Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins, and Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas, provided more than just a hiring floor. Participants engaged with 94 organizations, including major regional players like Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages, Parkland Health, and FedEx. These connections focused on roles offering competitive wages, tuition assistance, and comprehensive benefits packages.
A significant portion of the event targeted individuals with justice involvement, a mission supported by the foundation's T.O.R.I. program. Sixteen participating companies opened over 507 positions specifically for candidates from this demographic. Beyond direct recruitment, partners including Goldman Sachs and JPMorganChase hosted workshops on financial empowerment and professional development, ensuring attendees left with both employment leads and practical career tools.
