The race serves as a marquee fundraiser for the airport, which raised nearly $83,000 for the USO during its 2026 iteration. Over the past four years, the event has generated $168,771 for the center, the third-largest of its kind in the nation. According to Atif Elkadi, CEO of the Ontario International Airport Authority, the gathering has evolved into a local tradition that bridges the gap between aviation enthusiasts and the surrounding community.
Participants can choose between a 5K race starting at 8 a.m. or a 1-mile family walk at 9:30 a.m. Early registration is priced at $50 and $20 respectively, with rates increasing after December 13. Active-duty military personnel and veterans are eligible for a 50% discount. Beyond the course, a community festival featuring food trucks and local vendors will run until 11 a.m. This year’s event coincides with the airport’s celebration of its tenth anniversary under local control, a milestone marked by passenger growth exceeding 7 million annually.
