Kanseki Net Profit Climbs to 231 Million Yen in First Half

Kanseki Co. Ltd. reported a net profit of 231 million yen for the six months ending August 31, surpassing the 211 million yen recorded during the same period last year. Despite the bottom-line growth, the Japanese retailer saw its total revenue dip slightly to 17.46 billion yen from 17.57 billion yen.

Operating profit for the period reached 294 million yen, an improvement over the 280 million yen posted in 2025. Pretax profit, however, faced downward pressure, falling to 210 million yen compared to 243 million yen in the previous year. Earnings per share rose to 31.01 yen from 28.42 yen, with diluted earnings per share at 30.70 yen.

The company maintained its dividend strategy, reporting no midyear payout. The projected year-end dividend remains steady at 20.00 yen per share. These results were prepared in accordance with Japanese accounting standards.
