Nippon BS Broadcasting Profit Dips Despite Revenue Gains

Nippon BS Broadcasting Corp. reported a net profit of 1.30 billion yen for the fiscal year ending August 31, 2026, marking a slight decline from the 1.35 billion yen recorded in the previous year. Despite this bottom-line contraction, the company achieved a modest uptick in total annual revenue.

Nippon BS Broadcasting Profit Dips Despite Revenue Gains

The broadcaster saw its revenue climb to 11.92 billion yen, up from 11.81 billion yen in 2025. However, rising costs weighed on profitability, with operating profit settling at 1.77 billion yen compared to 1.93 billion yen a year earlier. Pretax profit followed a similar downward trajectory, falling to 1.87 billion yen from 1.99 billion yen.

Earnings per share mirrored the broader financial dip, coming in at 72.83 yen against 75.51 yen the prior year, while diluted earnings per share reached 72.73 yen. These figures, prepared under Japanese accounting standards, reflect a challenging margin environment for the Tokyo-based firm despite its ability to grow top-line sales.
