UK Nursery Operator N Family School Targets US Expansion in Minnesota

Eagan, Minnesota, will host the first American location for N Family School, a UK-based early childhood education provider known for its B Corp certification. The company, which operates 58 sites across Britain, plans to launch its research-led curriculum and purpose-built facilities in the suburb later this year.

The expansion marks a strategic shift for the organization, which launched in 2017 and has since prioritized a proprietary model dubbed the N Approach™. Developed alongside experts from the University of Cambridge, the curriculum centers on individualized learning, Forest School-inspired outdoor activities, and enrichment programs ranging from Spanish to yoga. The Eagan facility will feature a dedicated movement studio, a discovery lab, and an on-site chef tasked with preparing daily meals from scratch.

To lead this American venture, the group has appointed Trudy Anderson, a veteran of the early education sector with previous tenures at KinderCare and Learning Care Group. Anderson pointed to a rising demand for preschool environments that balance academic rigor with community-focused amenities, such as the company’s signature N Café areas and integrated parent communication apps. The school aims to replicate the culture that earned the group recognition as a top-tier UK workplace, relying on its internal N Academy to train staff in its specific pedagogical methods.
