Meticulous Secures $15M to Automate Software Testing for AI-Driven Teams

San Francisco-based Meticulous has closed a $15 million Series A round led by Chemistry to scale its automated testing platform. As developers increasingly rely on AI agents to write code, the company aims to eliminate the traditional bottlenecks in code review by providing exhaustive, noise-free verification for every pull request.

The funding round includes participation from Menlo Ventures and a notable roster of angel investors, including former executives from Stripe, Dropbox, OpenAI, and Cursor. Engineering teams at companies like Notion, ElevenLabs, and LaunchDarkly are already utilizing the system to bridge the gap between rapid AI code generation and reliable deployment. By using deterministic browsers and automated test suite evolution, Meticulous allows engineers to visualize the impact of code changes down to the pixel level before merging.

For teams adopting AI, the primary challenge has shifted from writing code to validating it at scale. Meticulous addresses this by autonomously generating thousands of test flows that cover edge cases across massive codebases. This approach provides a necessary guardrail, ensuring that software quality keeps pace with the speed of automated development cycles. CTO Quentin Spencer-Harper stated that the platform enables customers to achieve unprecedented velocity by moving toward truly exhaustive testing.
