The project, situated at the intersection of Wagner Road and Interstate 95, is designed to serve as a regional economic engine. Projections indicate the resort will generate $2.8 billion in economic stimulus over its first decade and add 1,600 permanent jobs to the local economy. State and local officials, including Petersburg Mayor Samuel Parham, gathered alongside developers to mark the progress of what is expected to be a transformative destination for Central Virginia.
Once completed, the facility will encompass more than 445,000 square feet, featuring 1,600 slot machines, a 200-room hotel, and a multi-purpose event center. Dining will include 20 venues, highlighted by brands such as The Prime Rib and Sports & Social. Ahead of the grand opening, developers are hosting a contractor and vendor fair on October 14 at the Petersburg Public Library to solicit local business participation for the project's next phases.
