The contract includes an option to extend the production timeline by two additional years, signaling a long-term commitment to the platform. RTX, the parent company of Raytheon, has spent the recent period aggressively expanding manufacturing capacity to accelerate the delivery of these munitions. Work on the interceptors will be centered at facilities in Tucson, Arizona, and Huntsville, Alabama, as the defense contractor ramps up to meet heightened demand for mid-course ballistic missile defense.
