The company’s HMO Medicare Advantage plan also secured a favorable 4.5-star designation. This latest success follows a contentious legal battle earlier this year, where a Georgia federal court forced CMS to recalculate previous PPO ratings, moving them from 3.5 to 4.5 stars. While that case remains under appeal, Clover noted that CMS excluded 20 measures from the current calculation in alignment with the court’s earlier ruling.
Chief Executive Andrew Toy stated the company continues to support reforms that tether rating systems more closely to tangible improvements in member health outcomes and overall value. The company’s growth trajectory remains aggressive, with Medicare Advantage membership climbing 48% year-over-year through the first half of 2026. Data shows 98% of these members are currently enrolled in the firm's wide-network PPO plans, which have nearly doubled in market value since the start of the year.
