The agreement formalizes a strategy to integrate service networks, allowing the companies to combine GCCL’s analytical footprint in the Asia-Pacific with LabConnect’s global alliance of specialty laboratories. Executives from both firms gathered at GCCL’s headquarters in Seoul to outline a framework that prioritizes joint sales, synchronized project management, and unified client communication systems. By merging logistics oversight with localized testing capabilities, the partners aim to reduce the operational friction often associated with cross-continental drug development studies.
Jeff Mayhew, founder and strategic commercial advisor at LabConnect, noted that the collaboration provides sponsors with a more coordinated path for multi-regional research by pairing GCCL’s logistics strength with proactive sample intervention. Kwan-goo Cho, CEO of GCCL, emphasized that this move serves as a practical bridge for the companies to accelerate their global business models. The partnership focuses on four core pillars: identifying regional client opportunities, integrating central laboratory services, aligning project workflows, and executing shared marketing initiatives.
