Pelz brings over two decades of life sciences technology experience to the firm, including prior roles at Clario, Parexel, and Oracle. Her mandate centers on refining the company’s end-to-end financial platform, ClinRun, with a specific focus on automating labor-intensive tasks such as invoice cross-referencing and multi-system data uploads. By replacing manual administrative burdens with AI-driven automation, the company aims to reduce error rates and accelerate payment cycles for sponsors, contract research organizations, and clinical trial sites.
CEO John Chinnici noted that the appointment arrives as the company intensifies its research and development investment. The objective is to move beyond legacy back-office processes, which currently rely heavily on manual intervention. Pelz, who holds engineering and management degrees from Yale and MIT, emphasized that her focus remains on reducing the administrative load on research sites. She plans to debut her vision for the platform at the upcoming Global Site Solutions Summit in Orlando and the OCT New England meeting in Boston.
