This shift marks a significant move toward unified clinical research management. By adopting these specific Veeva applications, IQVIA aims to streamline the flow of information across its global clinical studies. The integration is designed to reduce friction for clinical teams while maintaining the flexibility for sponsors to select additional technologies, including IQVIA’s proprietary data and AI solutions, to meet specific trial requirements.
Richard Staub, president of Research and Development Solutions at IQVIA, noted that the collaboration focuses on a more connected workflow. Veeva founder and CEO Peter Gassner emphasized that the expansion builds upon the work initiated last year, specifically targeting seamless service integration. The companies expect these combined capabilities to improve patient access to medical innovations by shortening the path from research to regulatory submission.
