Miller arrives at Ailux following a tenure at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, where he served as Senior Vice President and Global Head of Translational Science & Medicine. In that capacity, he managed a team of 150 clinicians and scientists, overseeing early-development trials across immunology and dermatology. His track record includes the development of the FDA-approved oral peptide icotrokinra and the advancement of the FcRn blocker nipocalimab into Phase 3 trials.
At Ailux, Miller will oversee the transition of the company’s internal pipeline from the laboratory to the clinic. CEO Alex Li noted that Miller’s experience in immunology will be vital as the company expands its global footprint. Beyond his corporate background, Miller maintains academic ties as an Adjunct Professor of Dermatology at both Johns Hopkins and the University of Pennsylvania. His mandate includes establishing a new U.S.-based clinical and research facility to support the company’s existing operations in Shanghai and the United Kingdom.
