Rollins College Taps Alumna Amanda Peters Hopkins for Leadership Role

Amanda Peters Hopkins, a 2003 graduate of Rollins College, will return to her alma mater on February 15, 2027, to serve as the institution's vice president of institutional advancement. Her appointment follows a distinguished career in higher education development, marked by significant fundraising success at the University of Colorado Boulder.

Currently serving as associate vice chancellor for development at the University of Colorado Boulder, Hopkins brings nearly two decades of expertise to the Winter Park campus. During her tenure in Colorado, she spearheaded strategies that fueled an 81 percent increase in annual fundraising over three fiscal years and helped secure over $100 million in philanthropic support for key institutional priorities.

This role marks a homecoming for Hopkins, who previously spent eight years at Rollins, rising to the position of assistant vice president for development. Her deep institutional knowledge, combined with her recent recognition as a recipient of the 2026 CASE District VI Chief Executive Leadership Award, positions her to lead the college’s advancement division. President Brooke Barnett noted that Hopkins’ unique perspective as both an alumna and a former staff member is vital for guiding the college’s future philanthropic engagement.
