Cornell arrives at the Cleveland-based lift truck manufacturer after a tenure as President and General Manager of Stanley Black & Decker’s Specialty Tools & Storage Solutions. His background includes serving as CFO for the same firm’s Industrial Segment, providing him with a dual perspective on financial oversight and direct profit-and-loss management. Over a two-decade career, he has managed finance organizations and manufacturing operations throughout North America and Europe.

In his new capacity, Cornell will assume responsibility for the company’s investor relations, tax, treasury, and accounting functions. Executives at Hyster-Yale anticipate that his expertise in disciplined capital allocation will support the company's ongoing efforts to streamline operational execution. Cornell holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
