FTAI Aviation Shares Climb Following $1 Billion Note Offering

Investors pushed FTAI Aviation stock up 7.2% to $200.47 on Monday, reacting to the company’s announcement of a $1 billion private offering of senior notes due 2034. The move signals a major shift in the firm’s capital structure, marking a notable uptick for a stock already up 1.8% this year.

FTAI Aviation Shares Climb Following $1 Billion Note Offering

The newly announced notes come with guarantees from FTAI Aviation and its subsidiaries, effectively extending those protections to existing senior debt holders. Management intends to deploy the capital to pay down a revolving credit facility, which was previously utilized to bankroll an accelerated share repurchase program.

Beyond debt reduction, the company plans to use a portion of the proceeds to redeem outstanding 5.5% senior notes set to mature in 2028. By restructuring these obligations and covering associated transaction fees, the firm aims to streamline its balance sheet while maintaining liquidity for its ongoing financial operations.
