The company reported earnings of 25 cents per share on $185.6 million in revenue for the quarter ending in September. While revenue fell from the $201.7 million recorded during the same period last year, gross services volume reached $914.1 million. Management responded to these results by tightening their 2026 revenue forecast to a range of $742 million to $750 million and raising adjusted earnings expectations to between $1.45 and $1.47 per share.

Looking toward the final quarter of the year, Upwork anticipates adjusted earnings between 30 cents and 32 cents per share on revenue totaling up to $177 million. Alongside these financial updates, the firm announced an internal leadership shift, appointing current Chief Business Officer Peter Sanborn to the role of chief financial officer.
