Kanda Holdings Reports Profit Decline Despite Revenue Growth

Kanda Holdings saw its net profit slide to 1.01 billion yen for the half-year ended September 30, a sharp contraction from the 1.31 billion yen recorded during the same period last year. Despite this bottom-line pressure, the Japanese logistics firm managed to nudge its total revenue higher to 26.59 billion yen.

Kanda Holdings Reports Profit Decline Despite Revenue Growth

The latest financial results, prepared under Japanese accounting standards, reveal a tightening of margins across the company’s operations. Operating profit fell to 1.71 billion yen, down from 1.93 billion yen a year earlier, while pretax profit similarly cooled to 1.78 billion yen from 2.02 billion yen. Consequently, earnings per share dropped to 47.30 yen, compared to the 61.05 yen reported in the previous year's corresponding period. These figures highlight the challenges Kanda Holdings faces in converting increased top-line revenue into sustained profitability in the current fiscal environment.
