Despite the decline in net earnings, the company saw a robust expansion in top-line growth. Revenue climbed to 6.44 billion yen, up from 4.92 billion yen in the previous year. However, this revenue surge failed to offset rising costs, leading to an operating loss of 1.08 billion yen compared to a 265 million yen profit in the same period last year.
Pretax profit also felt the pressure, dropping to 83 million yen from 129 million yen a year prior. Consequently, earnings per share slipped to 3.30 yen from 5.03 yen. These figures, prepared under Japanese accounting standards, highlight the volatility in the company's margin structure as it navigates a challenging fiscal environment.
