Veolia Revenue Climbs as International Expansion Offsets Energy Shifts

Veolia reported a 5% revenue increase in the third quarter of 2026, bolstered by robust international performance and a surging demand for water management services. The group confirmed its annual guidance, citing the successful integration of its U.S.-based Clean Earth acquisition and consistent efficiency gains across global operations.

Veolia Revenue Climbs as International Expansion Offsets Energy Shifts

The company’s nine-month revenue reached 33.3 billion euros, reflecting a 2.6% organic growth rate when excluding volatile energy prices. This momentum was largely supported by the water sector, which saw a 2.6% revenue increase, and strategic contract wins in markets including Spain, the United Kingdom, and Saudi Arabia. CEO Estelle Brachlianoff emphasized that the group’s pivot toward resource sovereignty and environmental services is yielding results, with EBITDA margins widening by 50 basis points to 16.2%.

Operational success was underscored by the company’s ability to navigate shifting energy markets. While energy price fluctuations created headwinds, Veolia’s diversified portfolio and strict management discipline allowed it to maintain a current EBIT of 2.95 billion euros, a 6.7% increase. The group is currently executing a 2 billion euro disposal plan to streamline its portfolio, with 570 million euros already signed. Looking ahead, Veolia remains committed to its GreenUp strategic program, aiming to solidify its leadership in hazardous waste management and water technology as it manages a net financial debt of 25.4 billion euros.
