Cleveland-Cliffs Reaches Four-Year Deals With Steelworkers
Cleveland-Cliffs has reached new four-year labor agreements with the United Steelworkers covering about 12,000 employees at steel plants and mining operations in five states. The contracts settle all union agreements at the company that were up for renewal, but still require approval by local union members.

The agreements apply to workers in Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Minnesota and Michigan. Ratification votes will be held among local union memberships.
Cleveland-Cliffs Chief Executive Lourenco Goncalves said the deals recognize employees’ contributions and provide stability for investment and competition. He said they would also support the continued strengthening of American steelmaking.
