Dimora Medical Debuts MegaSorb Silicone Foam Technology

As clinicians demand higher efficiency in wound exudate management, Dimora Medical has launched its proprietary MegaSorb technology. The system centers on a high-porosity silicone foam designed to stabilize the healing environment, marking a shift toward faster fluid retention and reduced intervention frequency for chronic care patients.

The MegaSorb Dual-Action Absorption System utilizes a polymer material with an open-cell structure reaching 90 percent porosity. This design allows the dressing to absorb up to 15 times its own weight in fluid. Once exudate enters the foam, the system locks the liquid within one second, a mechanism engineered to prevent leakage and maintain the structural integrity of the dressing during long-term wear.

This technical rollout follows the feature of Dimora’s silicone foam series on the back cover of the June issue of the Journal of Wound Care. By entering established clinical communication channels, the company aims to move beyond standard product updates toward a defined identity in wound management. The development reflects a broader strategy to simplify home care for middle-aged and elderly patients by integrating high-performance materials into accessible medical supplies.
