The scope of the contract includes site activation and fleet management, alongside interim support for new operational bases. These tasks are critical for integrating the Joint Strike Fighter into various defense branches and foreign military programs. Lockheed Martin will manage these efforts primarily out of its facilities in Fort Worth, Texas, and Orlando, Florida. The project is slated for completion in December 2028, according to the Department of Defense.
