T. Rowe Price Appoints Mike Barry to Lead Global Marketing Strategy

After two decades of shaping the firm’s investment narrative, Mike Barry will take the helm as head of Global Marketing at T. Rowe Price on July 1. Barry’s promotion follows a long tenure at the Baltimore-based asset manager, where he most recently directed Global Product Marketing and Investment, Product, and Retirement Content. His influence at the firm is perhaps best seen in his 2024 launch of a marketing innovation lab, a project that integrated AI-enabled technologies and digital design tools into the company’s daily workflow. This internal shift significantly enhanced how T. Rowe Price delivers its research and market perspectives to institutional and retail investors.

In his new capacity, Barry will manage brand strategy, global digital solutions, and public relations, overseeing a wide mandate that spans retirement and wealth markets. Dee Sawyer noted that Barry’s ability to bridge the gap between technical investment fluency and client engagement makes him uniquely suited to advance the firm’s global growth strategy. Managing $1.89 trillion in assets, the company aims to leverage Barry’s expertise to ensure its proprietary research remains accessible as investor needs shift in an increasingly complex financial landscape.
