Westlake Expands European Footprint With German PVC Plant Acquisition

The Wilhelmshaven site boasts an annual production capacity of 380,000 metric tons of PVC. By integrating this plant, Westlake aims to scale its global chlorovinyls operations and create a more cohesive supply chain across its existing European and North American facilities.

Chief Executive Officer Jean-Marc Gilson noted that the acquisition directly supports the growth of the company’s Performance & Essential Materials division. This expansion allows the firm to stabilize its output and deepen its industrial presence in Germany, ensuring a tighter alignment between its international manufacturing hubs.
